So today at church we were singing a hymn and I was overcome with such emotion.
The thought came into my head, “You are so blessed. God has given you so much. Stop looking at what you don’t have. You have a lot. Be happy with what you have.”
Wow. I got tears in my eyes.
There are things I wish were different of course.
I wish I knew what was going to happen with my job.
I wish I had a special someone in my life.
I wish I had a family….blah blah.
God has blessed me with SO much!
I have the BEST family. So many nieces and nephews.
I have a new calling in my church and I am so ready to learn and be a part of it.
I have wonderful parents who helped pay for college.
I was able to go to college and take 18 months off to serve a mission for my church and still finish college at an early age.
I have some close and amazing friends.
I found a job really fast after I graduated college.
I could go on and on.
The spirit was overwhelming today as I realized that God has already blessed me so much. AND He will continue to bless me in HIS own time. NOT mine.
“We can’t always understand the vision our Father in Heaven has, and we can’t plan everything…But we can be obedient and give Him a chance to bless us.”
