My phone rang.
I looked down, and my eyes widened.
It couldn’t be. But it was. Wasn’t it??
It was him. He was calling ME.
I stopped in the middle of doing my laundry and grabbed my phone.
I walked down the hall with a grin.
I opened the door to the bedroom feeling anxious and excited.
Do I dare answer? I do.
Yesterday I got a surprising call from someone (a guy). I was able to talk to him for about an hour. It was such a nice conversation and I am so grateful he called me! (Although I was blushing, giggling, and sweating through the whole thing haha).
It made me realize how lucky we are that we have such advanced technology. We get to communicate with others no matter how far away they are. We can send emails, text messages, call on the phone and even do video calls. (Of course I still LOVE hand written letters from the heart).
What a blessing that is! Yes, technology can be used for lots of evil purposes, but it can also be used for lots of many good things.
I have family all over the United States, and I have friends all over the world. Without technology it would be a lot harder to stay in touch.
Because of technology I am able to write this blog and share my thoughts will all of you. I am able to share my struggles, my blessings, my ups and downs, and uplifting quotes.
Now, I don’t know what will happen with this guy that called me. But I do know one thing … God knows. God knows when we are ready for the next step. He knows when the other person is ready. He knows when we are ready to receive certain blessings in our lives.
For the next few days I will be in Florida visiting Disney World – which is another blessing. We are able to get to the other side of the country in a few hours which is just absolutely amazing.
God blesses us every day. There are tender mercies everywhere. I have seen some wonderful tender mercies through small acts with this guy. I have seen the love from my friends as I continue pressing onward. I have felt the love from my parents. Even people at church. I had some wonderful experiences recently of my Bishop reaching out to me as well other sisters in the ward.
God knows you. He loves you. He is aware of your desires. He knows your struggles. And He is always there ready to bless us. Not when we want it, but when we are ready.
Don’t ever feel like God has forgotten about you. Because everyday He is looking out for you. Look for those tender mercies every day. They may be small, but they are still a sign that God is real.
I thank my Heavenly Father for the tender mercies I have received lately. I know He is there for me, even when I may struggle.
I am proud to call myself a Christian. I am proud to say I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I am proud to say that God exists.
I love you all.
