Things in this life come and go.
Interests or hobbies.
Some things don’t stay forever.
And as sad as that can be, it’s the truth.
As I have been getting older, I have realized that not everything is going to stay the same.
There are some things that I won’t be able to control. (Which needless to say is hard for me, because I like being in control of things).
Change can be a hard thing. Not many people like change. Mainly because it requires us to step out of our comfort zone and into the unknown.
I have a hard time with relationships. Partly due to the fact that it means commitment, which means change, which means me stepping out of my comfort zone and into the unknown of what will happen.
I struggle with choosing a job that is new because it means change. It means dealing with new tasks, new co-workers, a new boss, a new environment … everything new.
I struggle with making friends. That requires me to go out of my comfort zone to talk to someone and build that relationship.
But change can be good.
Change means growth.
Growth means the opportunity to be better.
And we all should strive to be better than we were the day before.
The next time that change comes along in your life, stop to take a moment to realize that good things can come from it.
