The End of another Year

I apologize for not writing for a bit but things have been a bit crazy.

We had my grandfather’s funeral on Saturday which was just absolutely beautiful. It was hard, but it was very nice. For a day all of my siblings were here so that was special as well.

Christmas was fun and busy. I was able to go and visit 3 of my siblings on Christmas Day. They all got wonderful gifts and had a fun time with all their kids. All my nieces and nephews were excited to show us all of their gifts haha.

My big gift this year was a treadmill – so it goes perfectly with my health goal for 2019! So I am excited to see what happens in the coming months.

I went to Knott’s Berry Farm yesterday which was pretty fun. We of course ate at the Chicken House for lunch. You can’t stop at Knott’s without eating there. Haha!

One of the items I received this year was a calligraphy set. I wanted to learn how to write calligraphy because it looks so pretty! So today I tried practicing a bit more. It’s still a bit wiggly – not super flowy, but I’m learning! It will take a lot of practice.

My tender mercies lately are that I have been able to be around family a lot. I have seen my siblings a lot these past few weeks, and visit extended family.

As this year comes to an end, I am grateful for all the things that have happened. I have had some ups and downs, highs and lows, and I have learned a lot.

In February I went to Utah to visit my youngest sister and see her place in Ephraim. We all rented a house for that week which was fun.

I was in charge of creating activities at church, and then got a new calling as a relief society counselor, to then being a teacher for relief society.

In March I went to a live pirate and dinner show with my parents. That was pretty fun and entertaining!

In April I took a trip with my dad to Mexico! I got to meet some of his friends and patients there which was fun. Plus I got a personal tour by some of his friends there!

In May we celebrate my Grandma’s 90th birthday with everyone! It was big and filled with lots of people! We even had a photoshoot to get pictures with Grandma – so she was like a celebrity for the night!

In June I took a trip to the Oceanside Pier for the first time which was fun. I had a boba for the first time too, so that was interesting.

Also in June I finished my job as an assistant teacher with Leport. It was hard to say goodbye to all the children and parents and my co-workers, but it was something that I felt I wanted to do.

The end of June/beginning of July I was able to take a trip to Mississippi for the first time to visit my younger sister. I got to site see a bit there, and explore new places.

In August I was able to go to Orlando Florida and I went to Disney World there which was a lot of fun! I wasn’t able to do everything in the amount of time I had, but we got a lot done.

In September my older sister had her baby, so I had gone up and helped her in the hospital while she was recovering. Everything is good and he is growing big and strong.

In October we had a reunion with my co-workers from Leport. We went out to dinner and then for some dessert. It was so fun to catch up and see where everyone is working now.

In October I was also able to take a trip to Arizona and visit some friends and family.

In November I went to Disneyland for a day – which was fun because I hadn’t been in a long time!

In November I also went to the Aquarium of the Pacific which was amazing because they had these GIANT stingrays and these GIANT crabs!

In December all my siblings came down, lots of family visits, my grandpa’s funeral, lots of goals set and made, new skills and goals planned, and some job interviews happened.

I’ve picked up painting and calligraphy, met new people and tried new jobs.

Overall, I would say a pretty good year. I hadn’t realized how much I had traveled this year, but it would seem I did! haha.

A special thanks to everyone who helped me this year. I look forward to what 2019 will bring.

**Also, I am so sad because I attached a photo for each memory, and then something happened and it deleted them all …. so … sorry, but I’m lazy and I am not going back to attach those photos haha!!**
