Rome Italy

So most of you know that I am a Christian. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most people have seen our temples around the world, but may not know what they are actually used for. Our church recently came out with a beautiful video where they give a tour of the inside of one of the temples in Rome. I love it!! It’s a great video to show to friends who have questions about our temples and what we do. It gives them a chance to see what they look like inside.

It is my hope and dream that one day I will be married in one of our temple’s where we make the promise to God and can be married for time and all eternity.

We all believe in different things, and when we love something we want to share it. I love God. I love my church, and many people always have questions about it. Please feel free to watch the video below of the tour inside the temple. It is absolutely beautiful!

The other spiritual thought I want to share for today is one that is found in The New Testament. In Matthew 8:23-27 it says,

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

The first thing out of Christ’s mouth when the disciples wake Him up is, “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?”. I can imagine it can be frustrating for Christ sometimes when He is fully capable of being able to help us, when He is there for us 24/7 and we still freak out and doubt.

Especially here in this instance when Christ was LITERALLY right there with them and He had done so many other miracles.

I think we fall into that sometimes where we have seen miracles and tender mercies in our lives, but then when something big happens or something we are afraid of we freak out and doubt. I can imagine Christ says the same thing to us – almost as if He is saying, “why are you scared? Do you not remember the other miracles I gave unto you?”

I know I am guilty of that. Christ has done so much for me, and sometimes I forget that and doubt Him. But Christ is always there for us, always looking out for us, and is always willing to help if we reach out to Him.

May we always remember the love Christ has for us and the power He has to help us.
