The Big 30!

Happy 30th Birthday to me!

Jk, did you honestly think I was turning 30?? First of all, my birthday is in August, and second of all I am only 25 so let’s not even think about turning 30 okay??

There is a big 30 though! 

What does the 30 mean you ask? Well let me tell you! This week I hit my 30 pounds mark! I have lost 30.2 since January 1st to be exact! Woohoo!

I have been waiting to get to 30 for so long!!! The last couple weeks have been slow and up and down since I had been on vacations, had a bad cold, traveled, etc. So to weigh myself and see that I made it to 30 felt so good!

It was actually kind of funny because I normally weigh myself at home on Tuesday mornings when I first wake up (before eating anything). Well, this Tuesday I wasn’t home. I was thinking I would just weigh myself on Wednesday instead and count that, but I was determined to do it Tuesday if I could.

I was down in San Diego visiting family but I was able to leave around 10am which means I got home about 11:10am. As soon as I got home, I ran upstairs, changed and weighed myself. I had purposefully skipped breakfast so that my stomach would be empty like usual haha!

If you remember, I had gotten these charms for my weight loss progress. So yesterday I was able to add 2 more charms to the chain that hangs in my car!!

One charm says 30 and the other says “I’m doing this for me”.

Because let’s be real here, there are a lot of reasons why I am trying to lose weight. But the most important is what it says on my charm.

I’M DOING THIS FOR ME.

I am not trying to lose weight because someone told me I have to. I’m doing it because it is something that I want. It something that I have wanted for years but have never been able to stick it out. I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I deserve it. I’m worth it.

I post what I eat everyday, my weekly weigh ins, the occasional uplifting quote, and my non scale victories (which are victories such as clothes fitting better, people complimenting me, wearing something new, etc). But I’m also real, so when I am struggling or have the munchies I make sure to comment on that as well.

I hope everyone else has a fantastic week! Tomorrow I will be going to the gym again with a friend … I haven’t been in about a week so this will not be fun for my body haha!
