This morning I went to the gym and while I was working out I was listening to a few podcasts. In one of the podcasts, they had on guest David Butler, who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He talked about a lot of different things, but the one that stuck out to me was when he started to talk about tender mercies.
Now for those of you who have been following me for a long time know that I have tried writing down tender mercies every day in my journal. But David Butler suggests a new way to study the scriptures using tender mercies.
He suggests that we study the scriptures and find all the tender mercies that the Lord showed to people and that by doing so we will come to see the tender mercies in our own lives. I loved that. I have never studied the scriptures like that.
We have much to be grateful for. I know right now I am at a good point in my life as I am working on my health, enjoying life by traveling the world, spending lots of time with family, and exploring career options.
God is always watching out for us! He is always blessing us. Starting today I am going to take this challenge of looking for the tender mercies in the scriptures. I encourage all those who want to join me to do the same. I know that God loves us and sometimes we just need to be reminded of that. And that means searching and pondering.
